On a day bustling with career opportunities at Georgia Tech, the Women in Engineering (WIE) program added to the excitement with its Corporate Open House Career Fair. The event provided a unique platform for female engineering students to connect with top employers in parallel with the Institute's All-Majors Career Fair.

The career fair buzzed with energy as students engaged in conversations with company representatives from Rockwell Automation, Caterpillar, Norfolk Southern, Micron, and Kimberly-Clark, among others. Attendees could explore potential full-time roles and internships with the firms as well as network, exchange ideas, and discover career paths that align with their academic journey.

Beyond job prospects, the event offered students insights into various industries, providing critical information and exposure as they navigate their academic careers and make decisions about their future in engineering.

“This event gave me a chance to network with top companies that I admire and aspire to work for,” said one third-year mechanical engineering major. “It's exciting to connect with people in the industry who are genuinely interested in our growth. I'm walking away feeling motivated and more confident about my career path.”

Adding to the day's networking opportunities, WIE also hosted a Corporate Open House Dinner. This pre-fair event allowed students to interact with several employers in a more intimate setting, fostering connections before the formal career fair began.

The open house and career fair provided a platform for students to expand their professional networks and gain a clearer sense of direction for their future careers. Facilitating these connections will help shape the next generation of female leaders in engineering.
